The Story of Boningale

Boningale might be a small village but it has a big history and a dedicated book to prove it. If you are interested in the parish then get your copy of John Stretton's book now.

Published: 1 November 2024

The idea to write a book about Boningale belongs to Ken Aston a former resident of  Boningale Vicarage. Ken started off the process and collected much of the material. Ultimately it was produced by John Stretton Chairman of the Albrighton and District Historical Society in 2022. The book is not intended to be a definitive history nor an academic treatise. It is a narrative of our small hamlet set on the eastern fringe of the great county of Salop. Copies are available from St Chad’s Church.
